Over many years I have been an active public speaker in a wide variety
of guises. These have ranged from debating at school and university to
teaching and presentations to conferences and policy fora.

I was a student at the University of Glasgow in the late 1970s and was
actively involved in student debating
in

unique tradition of Glasgow University Union.
